Be a blessing to others

God has given me a Word for you. Get your bible and turn to 2 Corinthians 1:3-5 and he proceeded to read as I followed along. As he read the light bulb went off. My spirit jumped for joy.

Be a blessing to others
Be a blessing

2 Corinthians 1:3 - 5All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort.4 He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.5 For the more we suffer for Christ, the more God will shower us with his comfort through Christ.

When we go through trials and we're hurting it's natural to ask God why? Why did this happen to me? What did I do to deserve this? Why, Lord? Why are you allowing this?

I understand because I asked those same questions and it wasn't until a conversation with a very close friend that I finally understood why.

During the conversation I told my friend all about how unjust my past employer had been and how angry I was. He said to me, "Ajel, God has given me a Word for you. Get your bible and turn to 2 Corinthians 1:3-5 and he proceeded to read as I followed along. As he read the light bulb went off. My spirit jumped for joy.  What I had been through wasn't just about me, this is much bigger than I could ever imagine. This was about being a leader and an example for every person who has ever been hurt in the workplace, who works in a toxic environment.

It's saying, "I know. I understand what you've gone through. I understand your frustration.  But what they did does not define you. Don't forget who you are and most importantly whose you are.  This is what God says about you:  You are a conquer. You're over and not under. You're the head and not the tail. You are blessed and His child.

So, hold your head up and walk in victory. Regardless of what they do or say you know this is not about you.

Prayer: Lord, thank You that I am Your child. You love me and because you love me I have the victory. I decree that I am a conqueror. I am the child of the most High King. I decree I have the righteousness of God through Christ Jesus. I decree I am blessed and highly favored.
